Vinesh Phogat CAS Verdict: Indian grappler Vinesh Phogat's disqualification is something that will go down in history and will be talked about for much longer. The Indian grappler who was certain to make history in the Olympics was disqualified on the morning of her final bout. Assured of an Olympic silver, Phogat weighed 100 grams more than the stipulated 50kg mark and missed out on the final round. Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervened and provided all the support required for Vinesh.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) roped in former Solicitor General of India, Harish Salve for her appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS). The entire nation awaits the verdict in Vinesh's case. But amid everything happening around her, Indian Hockey Team's goalkeeper PR Sreejesh has revealed that he met Vinesh before the Indian team's bronze medal match against Spain.

She Is A Fighter: PR Sreejesh

PR Sreejesh believes that Vinesh Phogat deserves a medal after reaching the final of the women's 50kg wrestling competition in Paris after being disqualified for being merely 100 gram over-weight. The celebrated custodian, who retired from competitive sport after his second successive Olympic bronze medal, couldn't even imagine himself in Vinesh's position and said that he had no idea how he would have reacted to this kind of tragedy.
