But during the event, Vinesh was seen fainting as she was sitting on the stage alongside other wrestlers and dignitaries. But Vinesh was seemingly exhausted due to travel fatigue as she laid back while sitting in her chair. It is not yet confirmed whether she fell unconscious or was just napping while leaning back. In another footage, she could be seen sipping water as Uncle Mahavir conveyed something to Bajrang. During the weigh-ins, the Indian Grappler was found 100 grams overweight, which led to her disqualification. A medal was assured for Vinesh, but all her chances were thwarted after the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed the wrestler's plea. Phogat had announced her retirement after her ousting, which left the wrestling fraternity in shock.With Vinesh back in India, it is yet to be seen if the grappler would consider reversing her retirement decision. Uncle Mahavir, her fellow wrestlers, and the WFI may try to talk her out from retirement. It is yet to be seen what happens next.
