The Bengal Warriorz put on a clinical display to defeat the Bengaluru Bulls 40-29 at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. The final match of the Hyderabad leg was dominated by an exceptional raiding performance from the duo of Nitin Kumar and Maninder Singh, who scored 14 and 10 points respectively.

The Bengal Warriorz took a three-point lead heading into the halftime break, largely thanks to the outstanding raiding performance of Maninder Singh, who accumulated 8 points. The mighty raider was particularly effective for the Bengal Warriorz in the latter stages of the half, securing multiple successful raids, including a crucial two-point raid that sent both Nitin Rawal and Pardeep Narwal to the bench.

Captain Pawan Sehrawat led the charge with 12 points, closely supported by Vijay Malik’s 13 as Telugu Titans secured a dramatic 34-33 win over defending champions Puneri Paltan to conclude their home leg on high note, here on Friday. For the Titans, this was their fourth consecutive victory taking them to second place on the points table.

Puneri Paltan started strong as Pankaj Mohite’s Super Raid and Mohit Goyat’s Super Tackle quickly established an early lead. A tackle by Sanket Sawant soon inflicted the first All Out on the Titans, putting them on the defensive.

The Asian Hockey Federation and hosts Hockey India have announced that all matches of the Bihar Women’s Asian Champions Trophy Rajgir 2024 have been rescheduled to early hours to prevent potential disruptions caused by a significant insect infestation particularly when flood lights are on.

Under the revised schedule, the first match of each day will begin at 12:15 PM IST, followed by the second match at 2:30 PM IST, and the final match at 4:45 PM IST. Previously, matches were scheduled for the evening, with the first match set to begin at 03:00 PM IST, the second at 05:15 PM IST, and the last match at 7:30 PM IST.

Real Madrid defeated Osasuna 4-0 on Saturday thanks to a hat-trick from Vinícius Júnior. The much-needed victory was spoilt when teammate Éder Militão left on a stretcher. 

Madrid had experienced taunts during its last two home games, a 3-1 loss to AC Milan and a 4-0 loss to bitter rival Barcelona.

In the first half of Saturday's home match against Osasuna, Real Madrid defender Éder Militão appeared to have suffered a serious leg injury and was taken off the field on a stretcher. Holding the back of his right knee, Militão fell to the ground in the opponent's area. As he was taken away by medics, the 26-year-old Brazil centre back pulled his jersey over his face. 

After tearing his left ACL in the season opener, Militão missed the majority of the previous campaign. After his return in March, he assisted the team in winning the Spanish league and the Champions League.

Wicketkeeper batter Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid, was on Saturday named in the Karnataka probable list of players for the under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy, beginning from December 6. Anvay is the one of the three wicketkeepers named in the 35-member probable list and other two are: Aditya Jha and Joy James.

Anvay, who had captained the state under-14 side last year in the inter-zone meet, had cracked an unbeaten 200 for Bangalore Zone against Tumkur Zone in the KSCA Under-16 Inter Zonal tournament recently, underlining his potential.

Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer were on Saturday named in Mumbai's list of 28 probables for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which is scheduled to be held from November 23 to December 15. India's premier domestic T20 competition will end up dividing the Ranji Trophy into two halves along with the 50-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy this season.

The league round will be played from November 23 to December 5, while the knockouts will be held from December 9-15.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) notified the International Cricket Council (ICC) that the Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan to compete in the 2025 Champions Trophy. This decision came after the Indian government advised the BCCI not to send the team to Pakistan.

According to ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI has contacted the ICC about their participation in the upcoming Champions Trophy in Pakistan. According to the report, the BCCI has informed the ICC that it will not travel to Pakistan for the marquee one-day international tournament.
