In last year's re-match against Novak Djokovic, Alcaraz looked like a man on a mission at the All-England Tennis Club as he overpowered Novak, who is coming off a knee injury. Alcaraz's greatness knew no bounds after he trounced one of the greatest tennis stars, and he received praise from all over. Indian Cricket legend Ravi Shastri heaped praise on the sensational tennis player.

After Carlos Alcaraz trounced Novak Djokovic to make history at the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final, Former Team India head coach and cricketer Ravi Shastri hailed the Spaniard's greatness. Shastri was in the centre court of the All-England in London and witnessed the Wimbledon Final. The veteran claims Alcaraz has a little bit of flair from the legendary tennis stars, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in him.
"Now that the penny has dropped on what you saw at Wimbledon. King Carlos has got a Little bit of Roger, a Little bit of Rafa, a Little bit of Novak, a little of Everything by his side. At 21 years of age. Scary the heights he can go. The Game of Tennis couldn't have asked for anything bigger and better @carlosalcaraz @Wimbledon," Shastri wrote on the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter).

After securing a win at Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz has joined a legendary list of players who have won consecutive titles at the French Open and Wimbledon in the same season. He is not the sixth player to achieve the feat after he delivered a dominant spell to overcome the challenge in Novak Djokovic. The Spaniard won the game in straight sets of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
