Novak Djokovic says 2023 was one of his best seasons

Djokovic won three Grand Slam championships, breaking Rafael Nadal's record for the most Majors won by a men's player and tying Margaret Court for the most Grand Slams. The Serb won the Australian Open, Roland Garros, and the US Open in 2023 and the only let-off proved to be the Wimbledon final, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz.

According to Eurosport, Djokovic considered 2023 to be one of his best seasons, despite winning more matches in previous seasons. Djokovic has won three of the four Grand Slam titles four times, previously in 2011, 2015, and 2021.

“One of the best years. I wouldn't say the best, but one of the best. It's definitely one of the best seasons. I had a couple of years, I think three times, that I won three out of four Slams in a season in those years, I won more matches. I mean, I played more tournaments. I was really feeling very dominant on the tour. It's quite different circumstances this year comparing to all the other years because I played, what, 10, 11 tournaments this year,” said Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic says he is enjoying his time on the court

The 36-year-old believes that he reached the peak at the right moments throughout the season, expressing that he is feeling great on the court. Djokovic's last loss came way back in July at the Wimbledon 2023 final.
“I just managed to peak at the right tournaments, at the right time. That's what matters to me really. I mean, the Grand Slam season, one of the best for sure. Overall, especially in the last couple of months, I haven't lost a match since Wimbledon. So, I've been feeling great on the court and playing really well. But it's hard to compare,” Djokovic added.

Djokovic ended the year with 56 wins and seven losses while winning seven ATP titles and three Grand Slams.
