Rafael was set to face Team World's Nick Kyrgios in the singles and was going to partner Roger Federer in a doubles game against John Isner and Jack Sock. Nadal has, reportedly, reacted after bowing out of Laver Cup saying that he has had an amazing time playing there and is disappointed on not playing but he has some inflammation in his hand and he needs to rest. The atmosphere has been amazing here in Geneva and of course, he is going to be there for all his teammates and do everything he can to support them and help Team Europe win the Laver Cup. Instead of Rafael, Dominic Thiem will be up against Kyrgios in the singles games while Stefanos Tsitsipas shall team up with Federer now in the doubles game against Isner and Sock. Federer and Nadal had won their singles match yesterday to help Team Europe maintain its lead over Team World on Day 2 of Laver Cup.
