Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal led Team Europe To Victory in the Laver Cup. The World class Tennis legends rushed onto court & congratulated the exhausted Zverev
The Laver Cup, which took place in Geneva, is the most entertaining exhibition format tennis has devised to date. The semi-scripted feel hits the spot, and by recasting the tour’s most famous rivals as allies. The 22-year-old talent Sascha Zverev was moping so hard that Roger Federer let the expletives fly, while Rafael Nadal demanded “no one negative face.” Zverev heard the comments of these attentively and went on to win the Laver Cup. Having two of the best names in tennis alongside definitely helped the 22-year-old.

Zverev won the match in a third-set tie break which helped Team Europe win the Laver Cup. The match was set up against Zverev and Milos Raonic, it was a winner takes it all match. Federer and Nadal were extremely overjoyed in their celebrations as Team Europe won the Laver Cup. They rushed onto the court and congratulated the exhausted Zverev.
With an unreal effort from overmatched Team World, a great crowd and fascinating Coach Fed/Nadal videos, the Laver Cup reached another level this year.

Feels like the 5th most-talked about event in tennis this year, which is saying something. pic.twitter.com/ZU4VLFsJk7
The Russian was already lying on the court celebrating as Team Europe ended with a 13-11 victory. Zverev sealed Team Europe’s third consecutive Laver Cup victory. When asked about how he was felt having two of the biggest names in tennis alongside him he said,
"I’m super happy and super thankful to Rafa, Roger and the rest of the team. Without them on the bench, I wouldn’t have done it."
Absolutely fascinating watching Roger give coaching like this at the #LaverCup. He is completely all in. Gives you a glimpse into how intense a competitor he is, beneath that stoic exterior, and how cerebral he is about the game.pic.twitter.com/Zc2AisacCi

He went on to thank the fans and the people who supported his journey he said,
“Of course, every single one of you guys [the crowd] too. I’ve never played in an atmosphere like that, it was unbelievable. You all deserve to win as much as I do. This is very special, especially them guys trusting me to play the last singles match we have. It’s an unbelievable feeling. This event is something I hope to play every single year of my career. Maybe one day it will be back in Switzerland.”
The aftermath.
