Golf legend Tiger Woods seeks to add another feather to his cap at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Golf made a comeback to the Olympics after a 112-year absence. Woods missed the Rio Olympic Games due to an injury. Tokyo 2020 could be his last hurdle as he nears the end of his career.

Tiger Woods targetting Tokyo 2020

Tiger Woods will get a taste of golf frenzy Japan when he competes in ‘The Challenge: Japan Skins’ which starts on October 21. For the first time in a decade, a skins game will take on the PGA Tours. While the event will somewhat replicate ‘The Skin Game’ in the PGA tour from 1993-2008, the new and unique exhibition features a number of extra challenges during play. The tournament also features Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Hideki Matsuyama.

The Japan skins would be Japan’s first-ever PGA Tour. Tiger Woods recently announced that he will author his personal memoir titled 'Back'.Tiger Woods who made a comeback after his persistent injury problems added that he is glad to be back at the highest level. He had four back surgeries between 2014 to 2017. Tiger Woods won his 15th Major earlier this year, ending his 11-year wait for the coveted title.

Tokyo 2020 might be the first and only time we see Tiger Woods in the Olympics. Woods will have to fight for a place with a new generation of golfers. Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Bryson Dechambeau, and Patrick Reed will be competing for places with Woods for a place in the golf team. With age catching up on the Golf maestro, the Olympics could be the final hurrah for the champion.
