UFC 244 has been all about surprises since the inception of its main event. Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal are expected to put on an action show for the one and only BMF belt and the upcoming PPV has been all about fan’s choices. Nate Diaz and Masvidal have never won a UFC title despite being two of the most skilled athletes and biggest Superstars of the MMA Universe. Despite that, they have always been fan’s favourite and UFC President Dana White decided to make a one-time belt for the bout. After so many surprises, UFC fans were blessed with another one on the night of UFC 244 open-workout.
UFC 244: Open workout surprise
In the recent UFC 244 open-workout, Jorge Masvidal brought UFC fans on the stage and actually made them spar against each other. It was surely quite surprising for the world but it is UFC 244 and anything can happen. Masvidal was holding the mic and acting as the referee while UFC fans displayed their boxing skills against each other. UFC fans loved the idea and getting a chance to step on the same stage with UFC fighters was really innovative from the fans' perspective. According to reports, Donald Trump and Dwayne Johnson are going to be in the arena for UFC 244 while Baddest Mother F****R title is on the line. It is pretty evident that UFC 244 has solely been fans' favourite and there is no denying in that after the UFC 244 open workout.
UFC 244: What's next for BMF Contenders?
According to UFC President Dana White, BMF is going to be a one-time belt and the winner of the title will not get to defend that. Well, that won't stop Masvidal and Diaz from getting into incredible match-ups. Former UFC Double Champ Conor McGregor has recently announced his comeback in early 2020 and the Irish Superstar has expressed his urge to fight the winner of BMF. According to Conor, he is the ultimate BMF in UFC and mocked the ‘Diaz vs Masvidal’ fight as an interim fight. Diaz vs McGregor 3 will be huge and UFC will definitely try to make it happen. While Masvidal might get a title shot at welterweight belt after Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington happens.
