UFC: Conor McGregor backs rival Khabib against Tony Ferguson

Conor McGregor reportedly thinks that his rival from the last UFC fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov will defeat Tony Ferguson if they ever get inside the octagon. Conor has tasted a humiliating defeat against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in his last fight at UFC 229. The Irishman has been out of UFC since then but he is eyeing up 2020 as a comeback year and the re-match between Khabib and Conor is highly in the talks. However, Tony Ferguson is lined-up next for Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor can wait or face someone else in his UFC return.

UFC: Conor McGregor backs Khabib

Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov has been lined up a lot of times but each time it went off with various problems. Tony has coped up with his personal life problems and ‘El Cucuy’ is back in his game. UFC President Dana White is going to make it happen and the MMA community believes that Tony is the only man who can end Khabib’s undefeated streak. However, Conor doesn't agree with it solely.

According to Conor McGregor, he will favour Khabib in the fight against Tony and he believes that Khabib can maul ‘El Cucuy’. Conor McGregor believes that anything can happen in MMA and he doesn't rule out Tony Ferguson’s chances of dominating the match but he will surely take Khabib as the favourite. Conor is expecting a UFC return and the winner of Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov can be his opponent. The Irishman said that he doesn’t care about his opponents and he will fight anyone UFC offers him to fight.

UFC: Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib and Conor are two such fighters who clearly hate each other. The duo got into a brawl after UFC 229 fight ended and the beef game between them is still relevant in social-media. Conor McGregor did a lot of trash-talking which The Dagestani Eagle surely didn’t like and the bout ended in a dog-fight. Despite all the beef, Conor has agreed that Khabib is a great fighter and admitted that The Eagle will be favourite in a fight against Tony Ferguson.
