It is time for UFC 244 and Nate Diaz will step inside the octagon against Jorge ‘Gambred’ Masvidal for the much-awaited BMF belt. However, it was not quite long back when UFC fans had almost lost hope of seeing one of the Diaz brothers into the octagon in recent times. UFC President Dana White was not expecting a Diaz comeback too but Nate made a spectacular return and shocked everyone by defeating Anthony Pettis via decision in UFC 241. Nate called out Jorge Masvidal after the fight and to lord’s faith the callout really turned out into a match but the UFC fans are wondering will Diaz really never return to the lightweight division?

UFC: No more 155 for Nate Diaz?

Nate Diaz revealed that he will never ever come to the lightweight division and that he is done with 155 lbs category in an interview with a news broadcast before his return against Pettis. Diaz also added that he feels he is the king of the division and he has nothing more left to prove. Diaz had a great run in the lightweight division and defeated some of the best fighters like Conor McGregor and Michael Jhonson before moving into the welterweight division. Diaz is currently ranked 7th in the welterweight division and he is already above Darren Till, Anthony Pettis, Robbie Lawler, Ben Askren and Stephen Thompson. It seems that Diaz is comfortable in 170 lbs category and he might never return to lightweight again.

UFC: Nate Diaz before UFC 244

Diaz is performing pretty good in the welterweight division and after his recent win against Pettis, he seems confident. Diaz has never been knocked out in his life, while his upcoming opponent Jorge Masvidal is a highly-skilled knockout specialist. That could bring the best out of the fight. Both Misvidal and Diaz are eminent strikers and we can expect a dog-fight if both the men decide to get it done standing. However, Diaz will surely have an advantage if the match goes to ground. Diaz has mastered the art of jiu-jitsu and that can be pretty dangerous inside the game. Diaz has also got his opponent Masvidal’s respect as a fighter and it won't be surprising if there is a blood bath in the fight between two dangerous American men.
