Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal certainly did their part in the one-off Bad MF (BMF) title fight two weeks ago at UFC 244, but the doctors called off the bout after round 3 and that meant Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson presented the $50,000 title to his fellow Miami-native, Jorge Masvidal.
Nate Diaz takes a jibe at Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
Following his loss to Jorge Masvidal, Nate Diaz took a jibe at Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at the post-fight press conference as he accused ‘The Great One’ of favouritism. It was apparent that the situation did not sit well with the Stockholm native who went further to say that The Rock can get it too for picking the wrong side. Nate also suggested that boxing legend Mike Tyson should have been the one crowning the champion.
“F— him! I mean, The Rock’s cool. I like Ballers. But he picked the wrong side.” @NateDiaz209 never, ever change 😂 #UFC244 *NSFW* pic.twitter.com/UoBDeWg44u

The Rock addresses the rant
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had recently appeared on Ariel Helwani's talk show where he shrugged off the sledging and addressed the comments. Speaking of Diaz, he said it did come off as surprising because that is what Nate Diaz is known and loved for. He further added that Diaz knows of his relationship with Jorge Masvidal and is aware of the deep connections he shares with him as the two hail from Miami. He also added that he was not offended by his comments and was totally okay with it.
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also revealed that he took the time to congratulate Jorge Masvidal and that he was very happy for him. He also reminded him what the opportunity presented and how the title was somewhat polarising in the sport.
Meanwhile, Nate Diaz, who is gunning for revenge against Jorge Masvidal has been handed a 90-day suspension for the gruesome cuts he suffered at UFC 244.
