The 'Men in Blue' are back in the Indian subcontinent and they have received a welcome that will remembered for generations to come. Team India's historic Victory Parade in the 'City of Dreams' Mumbai was testament to the joy that the Indian Cricket team brought to the nation. This victory is certainly special for the entire Indian Team and the country, but more than that it has been a redemption for the Indian vice-captain Hardik Pandya.

Wankhede Joins Rohit And Cheers For Hardik Pandya

Hardik has been one of the main architects of Team India's second T20 World Cup. It has always been said that Hardik is somebody who brings in immense balance to the same and he has proved it in the recently concluded ICC event. Rohit Sharma finally took to the champion's podium in Wankhede and showered Pandya with well deserved praise. Hatred to Adulation: The Hardik Pandya Story

As per Hardik Pandya's honest admission, he had been through a lot before the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup started. Hardik, in a very candid manner confessed that he knew that people enjoyed his suffering. Things started to go downhill for Hardik Pandya after he replaced Rohit Sharma as the skipper of Mumbai Indians. This made him a victim of useless hate and unwanted abuse. Wankhede, Mumbai Indians' fortress had become hostile for Pandya, but just like that, the tables have turned.

Pandya bowled the crucial last over in the India vs South Africa ICC Men's T20 World Cup finals. He had sixteen to defend off six deliveries with the dangerous David Miller on strike. Pandya sent Miller packing on the very first delivery of the over. It took a special effort from Suryakumar Yadav to pull one of the most miraculous catches of all time. This sealed the game for India.
