The WWE and AEW have often been in a war, and while it is not a publicly witnessed affair, the wrestlers often tend to take shots and namedrop certain wrestlers from the rival promotion. AEW has done it on a frequent basis, an interesting situation brewed up when Shane McMahon was seen interacting with AEW wrestlers. It has stirred the pot as there are a lot of speculation that Shane may have inquired about possibly working with Tony Khan for his promotion. A McMahon in AEW? Tony Khan likes the idea to bring Shane in the fray

During an interview with Maggie & Perloff, AEW Boss and manager Tony Khan revealed that while he has never met Shane McMahon, he looks to be interested on cooking something to make the unthinkable happen in his promotion.

“Well I think Shane McMahon is somebody that I’ve never met, but has a lot of experience in wrestling, and has a lot of friends in AEW. And I have never really had any conversations with him or talked to him ever. I know that he ran into Mercedes Mone after Forbidden Door, which was very cool, and kind of a cool coincidence. But yeah, I’ve never met him. I’d always be open to talk to him, and he’s welcome to stop by anytime.

I know that’s an interesting rumor. There’s been all kinds of interesting people in wrestling to come into AEW and walk through that Forbidden Door. This might be, if it ever happens, one of the more shocking ones. But certainly, even though I’ve never talked to him, he seems like a really nice guy,” Tony Khan said.

To keep it short, Tony looks to be interested in bringing Shane McMahon into All Elite Wrestling, and it has the capacity to shake the wrestling fandom. A unique Forbidden Door will be breached as it is unusual for a Mcmahon to be a part of AEW despite having WWE thrive at the moment. Whatever the situation is, it will be interesting to witness it.
