Boxing News: Deontay Wilder slams Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder ended up one of the best heavyweight clashes of all time in a draw in December 2018. We still don’t know who is the best heavyweight boxer of the modern time. Tyson Fury has landed up in a WWE fight while ‘The Bronze Bomber’ is set to fight Luis Ortiz once in a re-match on November 24, 2019. If Wilder gets to win the match, we can expect Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 2 in February 2020. In the meantime, Deontay Wilder thinks that the reported amount of $15 million which is being paid to Tyson Fury is false. Deontay Wilder thinks that the figures provided to the press by Tyson Fury’s team is a lie and the highest-paid WWE wrestler from WWE is going to be Brock Lesnar with $12m. The American Champion thinks that Fury couldn’t even sell out Vegas and there is no way WWE can ever pay him $15m. Wilder further said that this WWE deal is identical to the ESPN deal and he Fury is again lying about the figures. According to Deontay, Fury didn’t get $100m then and Fury is not getting $15m now.

“In his first battle he bought 1,500 tickets, and the second he bought 3,500 tickets the remainder he gave away, why would they provide somebody $15m after that?” said Deontay Wilder
