Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have manufactured a feud for the ages. Both superstars have been at the loggerheads for several months, and have come across once inside the squared circle, at SummerSlam, where The Scottish Warrior prevailed courtesy of a little support from guest referee Seth Rollins. Both superstars are set to tear each other apart once again in the ring, they will take on each other in a strap match in the upcoming WWE PPV Bash in Berlin.

Drew McIntyre Says The CM Punk of Old Does Not Exist Anymore

Ahead of the much-anticipated match-up, Drew McIntyre had some thoughts to express about the second-city saint. According to the former world champion, he has shaped up to adapt the same persona that CM Punk once held with pride in WWE. He also mentioned that the CM Punk of old, who was carefree with the mic, no longer exists and now his sole focus is only on justifying the huge contract that has been rendered to him by the WWE.

"Look at the way he's evolved or devolved, he was the punk. He was the anti-superstar. He said whatever he wanted back in the day and I admired that part of him as much as I didn't like him. Now he toes the company line. He kisses the company a*se to justify that big contract. When I, who tried to be more of a Cena type when I was younger and do everything I possibly could. Even smile when I didn't want to. Smile and I just wanted to say, 'Get lost. Go s*rew yourself.' And I've started saying, 'Go s*rew yourself. You deserve it' now. Now, I have become more Punk than CM Punk and he hates that." McIntyre said on Notsam Wrestling Podcast.
