'It's crazy': Former WWE star reveals rejecting McMahon's ideas would have cost Randy Orton dearly

Ryback says Randy Orton would have paid a heavy price had he rejected Vince McMahon's booking ideas

Despite his influence in WWE, Randy Orton couldn't address his booking issues directly with Vince McMahon, as Ryback disclosed. "The Big Guy," who grappled with similar frustrations in his own career, detailed how Orton risked backlash from McMahon.

WWE underwent significant changes when Vince McMahon relinquished complete creative control. Reports indicate that WWE talents are happier under Triple H's leadership. One notable change is that wrestlers are now encouraged to voice their concerns about booking decisions. In contrast, during McMahon's era, such actions might have been seen as insubordination.

During an episode of Ryback TV, the former WWE star discussed Randy Orton's challenges with booking. Ryback emphasized that Orton could face repercussions from McMahon if he expressed dissatisfaction with the booking.

He said, "I just remember too like things were weird with my booking and he was one of the few people that came up like in a high position and he just goes, 'What the f are they doing to you?' and I go, 'Randy there's more going on than me' because I knew all the legal stuff going on and he just goes, 'That ain't right.' I saw that he struggled with his booking for a period when like a lot of people, all the top guys do, like it's crazy. I think now people are having more courage to speak out now that he [Vince McMahon] is fully gone. If he [Randy Orton] would have done that before with Vince in charge, he would have been done."
