John Cena 'devastated' over former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt's demise

WWE legend and Hall of Famer John Cena was devastated after the demise of Bray Wyatt and tweeted for the same on his 'X' account.

Recently, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) lost one of the finest wrestlers Bray Wyatt, also known as Windham Rotunda, on August 25, 2023. The entire wrestling community and the WWE universe were shocked to learn about the death news of Wyatt. The 36-year-old died after suffering a heart attack.

John Cena shocked over the death of Bray Wyatt 

Just like the whole wrestling universe, WWE legend John Cena was also devastated hearing the demise of Bray Wyatt. Cena went to 'X' (formerly known as Twitter) and expressed his grief. Cena wrote in his tweet: 

Devastated by the news of the passing of Windham Rotunda. My heart goes out to the entire Rotunda family. Windham brought the best out of me in so many ways. I’m forever grateful for the moments we shared. A sad day for all those he reached around the world. RIP.

WWE's Chief Content Officer Triple H informed the universe about the demise of Wyatt and broke the news regarding the former Champion. The WWE Hall of Famer's tweet read: 

Bray Wyatt and John Cena's bond 

Bray Wyatt was once the two-time two time Universal Champion and also a one-time WWE champion. After his release, Wyatt made his highly anticipated return at Extreme Rules in 2022, and the fans were ecstatic to see him. Both Cena and Wyatt also had an immense rivalry in the WWE and also shared the ring during the WrestleMania 30 in 2014. 

Six years later, in the year 2020, Wyatt took over the Fiend persona and was involved in a feud with John Cena. it eventually led to WrestleMania 36 in a cinematic clash, named as the Firefly Fun House match. Cena lost the bizarre-looking match that had everyone confused, but it made Bray Wyatt look like a supernatural being.
