John Cena Sheds Light On His In-Ring Retirement Plans, Teases His New Role Within The WWE

With a glorious career spanning over two decades, WWE star John Cena formally announced his in-ring retirement at Money In The Bank

WWE Superstar John Cena is one of the greatest pro-wrestlers of all time. After his debut in 2002, the Doctor of Thuganomics has built his own Cenation, has built himself a fanbase that is not very easy to earn. Cena who is also a very popular Hollywood star had hinted that he will be retiring soon. Cena has always voiced his love for the industry but also never refrained form saying that his body is not feeling like competing anymore.

John Cena Teases A New Role In The WWE

The WWE, according to John has extensively worked with him in putting a plan in place for his all-important farewell tour. Much to the joy of his fans, Cena will participate and show up in every major pay-per-view (PPV) event that that WWE has planned for in 2025. Cena will continue to wrestle till the fall of 2025. When asked about his future collaborations with the WWE, John Cena teased that he has planned for a new role in the WWE because he loves the business.

The Leader Of The Cenation Said:

Here's where we give you some of the deets of the farewell tour. It is not going to end at WrestleMania. WrestleMania 41 will be my last Mania. But hopefully if everything goes according the plan. We are going straight through from January to December. We are going to try a long list of dates. I think right now tentatively it is hovering around mid 30s to 40s because I am still going to try to juggle a lot of stuff that is going on. That will be the end of my in-ring competition. But having said that, I am going to continue to work with the development talent because I love the business so much.

Cena Announces Retirement In Money In The Bank

It was always an open secret that John Cena was mulling over the idea of his in-ring retirement. Not many would have thought that he would announce the same in 2024. Fans of the WWE who have been following the industry for a very long time speculated WrestleMania 41 as Cena's last dance and rightfully so. while announcing his in-ring retirement, Cena said that WrestleMania 41 wouldn't be his final appearance.
