The Anoa'i family has been suffering another enormous loss in their family as one of the pioneer members of the family has passed away. The WWE Hall of Famer and one-half of the legendary tag team, the Wild Samoans, was ill for a while, and many rumours have been about his health. But the legendary wrestler has now passed away, and the Anoa'i Family members have confirmed it. Afa's passing has left the wrestling universe in shock as they pour their tributes for the legendary wrestler.

Roman Reigns’ Uncle and the Wild Samoans’ Afa Anoa’i Passes Away at 81, Family Confirms

WWE Hall of Famer Afa Anoa'i, Roman Reigns' uncle and one-half of The Wild Samoans tag team, has passed away at 81. Afa's daughter, Vale Anoa'i, has confirmed the news, revealing that she was ready to say goodbye to her father after he suffered two heart attacks and had a heart valve replacement surgery. The former wrestler's son, Samu, also confirmed the development on Facebook.

Afa Anoa'i and his brother Sika were a part of one of the most dominant tag teams in the WWE, The Wild Samoans. Afa and Sika were a fearless duo of wrestlers who intimidated their opponents with their prowess. The Wild Samoans have also tasted championship gold as they won the tag team championships on three occasions. Apart from the WWE, they have wreaked havoc in the NWA and Stampede Wrestling. After he retired in 1995, the Wild Samoans co-founded a training facility to train the stars of the next generation, which includes WWE legends like Dave Bautista.

After Afa's passing, the WWE offered a statement on the loss of the legendary wrestler. The 'OTC' Roman Reigns and WWE CCO Triple H also poured in their thoughts for the dearly departed.

Earlier in the year, Roman Reigns' father and the other half of the Wild Samoans, Sika Anoa'i, passed away. It will be a bittersweet reunion for the legendary Hall of Fame tag team as they bid farewell to the materialistic world.
