'Sky's limit': WWE superstar Ludwig Kaiser exercises football punditry, predicts EURO 2024 finalist

This week marks the convergence of two major sporting events from distinct realms. On one side, the world of WWE eagerly awaits the Clash at the Castle, while football enthusiasts gear up for the kickoff of EURO 2024. While these events may seem unrelated, there exists a subset of fans who harbour a deep passion for both. Among them stands WWE Superstar Ludwig Kaiser, a figure who not only carries distinguished prowess in the ring but also possesses a pundit-level expertise in football. Takes immense pride in being a WWE superstar

From WWE's scene, we asked Kaiser to express thoughts on his growth in the one-on-one category in the ring, and whether he is satisfied with his current standpoint.

"Never satisfied, never satisfied, I get to show the world what I can do slowly but surely but it is never enough obviously for somebody who is as ambitious as I am or somebody who is waiting for a career like this for his entire life basically I am second generation wrestler since I am a little boy I was waiting for this, I was training for this, so I was always motivated for this, I am born for this, this is in my blood and this is where I am supposed to be. Ludwig Kaiser is destined to do this and slowly but surely whatever happens in your life you always have a feeling that it doesn't happen fast enough or you feel like it should happen right now but everything happens when it is supposed to happen. I am very lucky to say that everything in my life always turned out just the way it had to in the end but just like everybody I go through struggles, it just depends on how do you go about those struggles. You stop like everybody else or do you keep pulling, keep pushing and I always chose to keep pushing, that brought me, nothing was handed to me ever, WWE nothing was ever handed to me but yeah I was scratching, I was clawing and that's what I am always going to do. You see where it brought me and I can definitely promise you this is just the beginning of Ludwig Kaiser, you haven't seen anything yet."

On Germany's chances in EURO 2024

Given Kaiser's German heritage and Germany's historical prominence in European football, we took the opportunity to inquire whether he follows football and if so, what are his thoughts on Germany's squad and their prospects for EURO 2024. Ludwig graciously responded, offering his perspective on the national team's potential in the upcoming tournament.

"Absolutely, obviously me being from Germany, huge football fan. Definitely my two personal clubs that I always love are both in the second division right now, Hamburg and Hannover, both not so great right now but looking at the Euros, I'm extremely excited. Julian Nagelsmann has put together absolutely an amazing team. He stepped away from the old approaches of other coaches, picking the players just by reputation, everybody who is in that team, in that squad right now has played an amazing season, great form, I think when you see, when you saw them play against Netherlands and France, you actually saw a team play in there and they only played for a couple of times so everybody is so motivated and it's just fun to watch them play so I am going into this tournament with high hopes, I think for that team sky is the limit, so I have my fingers crossed that we at least we go into the finals and at the end of the day our whole country is going to raise that cup in the air because Germany this year, anything is possible, 100%."
