Vince McMahon Confirms He Considered an Outlandish Storyline Involving His Daughter Stephanie

Vince McMahon is one of the pioneers of wrestling bookers, and his brilliance has no match to date. While several promoters may come and go, the creative mind of Mr. McMahon would be a step ahead of everyone else. After he took over the WWF (now WWE ), he revolutionized the wrestling industry. However, as creative as McMahon was, he was notorious to push the limits in terms of storylines. Vince revealed that he had gone absolutely overboard with a storyline involving her daughter Stephanie McMahon.

Vince McMahon Opens Up on Suggesting Controversial Storyline Involving Daughter Stephanie

In the 'Mr. McMahon' documentary series released on Netflix, one of the episodes touched upon the beginning attitude era. At that time, there were rumours that McMahon revealed to the producers of the docu-series that he had proposed an outlandish storyline that his character was the one who impregnated her daughter Stephanie. In the documentary, he casually remembered the moment of the past

“So, one of my storyline ideas was that Stephanie gets pregnant, and I think I was the one who impregnated her — my character. I think it was something like that and it was like, ‘No.’ That one didn’t make it,” McMahon says in the docuseries, released this week.

After McMahon revealed the notion, the producers asked Stephanie McMahon and Triple H about McMahon pushing for controversial stuff live on the air. Stephanie laughed and said, “Yeah, there were a couple but I’m not going to tell the one.”

Even Triple H laughed after hearing the question and agreed that McMahon pushed storylines too much over the limit. Even though they were uncomfortable, Vince would find out a way to make them do it.

“Yeah [there were], and then Vince would make me do it anyway,” he says.

Vince McMahon was known to push boundaries, but he would take it to the next level, and it often turned very controversial. The particular era was when WWE was under thin ice for doing controversial storylines in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The documentary series also explored various sides, and it described him as a kingpin of storyline creativity and controversy.
