The WWE fans were left shocked after one of the most loved personalities, Samantha Irvin, announced her departure from the Connecticut-based wrestling promotion. Given that she was a popular figure, her exit from the company surprised the WWE Universe. There was a certain buzz around her exit, but now, reports have offered some clarity on why she departed from the role.

Why Did Samantha Irvin leave WWE ? New Update Offers Some Clarity

Samantha Irvin's exit not only shocked the fans, but the backroom staff were also taken aback by the decision. Given the star announcer's fanfare and hype, it looked like she was having the time of her life while in the WWE . But Dave Meltzer believes that she deboarded the WWE's ship to take up other opportunities. He reported the same while speaking via the Wrestling Observer Radio.

"She’s actually been thinking about (leaving WWE ) for a year. She wants to be a singer – she is a singer, she also plays the flute and wants to become more involved in her music. It’s not about – it was just something that she’d been talking about for a long, long time and finally pulled the trigger on it, that’s about it really," Dave Meltzer reports.

Samantha Irvin had announced on 'X' that her time calling the Monday Night RAW show has officially come to an end. She posted a lengthy statement to announce her exit and thanked everyone for their support over time. She had joined back in 2021, and Mark Henry was the one who her Irvin her big break. She went on to become one of the most loved non-wrestling personalities in recent memory. As she exits, Lilian Garcia makes her return to the WWE and will now call the Monday Night Showcase.

Interestingly, Irvin's fiancé, Ricochet, left WWE earlier in the year and has jumped ships to join All Elite Wrestling (AEW). While there was significant buzz that Samantha was heading to AEW to join his fiancé, Meltzer stated that although nothing is ever certain, Samantha does not currently have any plans to jump to AEW anytime soon and that she made the decision to leave.
