After an absence of a year, WWE Fastlane is back, and this year's event featured an exciting match schedule that in many ways was seen as the build-up to the "road to WrestleMania".

3 things you need to know

  • WWE Fastlane took place on October 8, 2023
  • In the main event, Seth Rollins was up against Shinsuke Nakamura
  • John Cena was also on the fight card

Notably, the event took place subsequently after the WWE Royal Rumble, this year though it came about at this stage in the year. This time, a total of five fights were lined up. Three of those were title matches. However, the match that made the biggest buzz did not involve any championship, rather it was the scheduled tag team match between 16-time World Champion John Cena, who was joined by rising star LA Knight, and the team of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

This match could provide a preview of who Roman Reigns' potential next opponent would be. The WWE Women's Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the Undisputed Tag Team titles were the titles on the line at Fastlane. So without further ado let's take a look at the result card of WWE Fastlane.

WWE Fastlane Results

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match, Damian Priest and Finn Balor (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso: The WWE Fastlane kicked off with the match between Judgment Day and the team formed under special circumstances Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. The team of Uso and Rhodes defeated Balor and Priest to become the new undisputed champions.

LWO (Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar and Carlito) vs. Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins): For their six-man tag battle, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar were without a partner and were outmatched for much the entire contest. But just when it seemed the end was near, veteran Carlito made his comeback to a huge pop. He performed his famous signature moves, capping it off with a backstabber on Ford and locking in the pin to secure the victory. What a comeback.

WWE Women’s Championship match: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair: Each superstar had their chance to shine during the match, with Flair exhibiting her strength, Asuka showcasing her technical prowess, and Sky showcasing her aerial attack. The match got the "this is awesome" acclamation" from the WWE universe. Eventually, the match was won by Sky, who pinned Charlotte to retain the title.

John Cena and LA Knight vs. The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa): The match saw John Cena getting into his traditional match role . i.e., getting beaten by all ends by the opposing team and then gaining strength from nowhere to bring the partner in the match. LA Knight then dominated and secured the victory for his team.

Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura met once again in the ring this time in the Last Man Standing match. Result: Rollins won and retained his title.
