WWE: Finn Balor set to make his NXT return after three years

This week’s WWE NXT was surely full of surprises as it first saw the return of Tommaso Ciampa and then the former NXT champion Finn Balor returned to the show to make a huge announcement. Balor was last seen in action at this year’s WWE SummerSlam PPV. Finn Balor faced Bray Wyatt at the PPV and lost the match against 'The Fiend'. Following the loss, Balor took a break from WWE and made his shocking return a few weeks ago on NXT. There, Balor confronted the current NXT champion Adam Cole after Cole defended his title from Matt Riddle.

WWE NXT: Finn Balor makes a comeback

It was announced earlier that Finn Balor will be making his fighting comeback on next Thursday’s episode. Earlier, a video of the former NXT champion aired on the episode where Finn Balor can be seen talking about the past and future. In the video, Balor can also be seen issuing a warning to the entire NXT roster and telling them to be ready for the upcoming show. Here’s what Balor had said.

"When your life comes to a crossroads, the only way to find a path to take is to revisit the ones you've walked before. How did you get here? Did your footsteps leave the world in a better place? Or did your missteps leave the world covered in darkness, egos, mistakes, errors? Re-trace your steps to find your heart. I have. Next week, my future will be my past."

Now that Tommaso Ciampa has made his official return to the yellow band show, it will be exciting to see three NXT superstars facing each other to get the NXT championship. Tommaso Ciampa was the NXT champion but he had to give it away as he suffered a neck injury. Adam Cole now has the title and with Finn Balor coming back, anything can happen. It looks like NXT is all set to provide fans with a great storyline and a memorable brawl between champions.
