WWE News: FOX takes a jibe at WWE and its controversial Wild Card Rule

FOX earlier took a jab at WWE and its previously announced Wild Card Rule as the official WWE draft comes closer. FOX took the jab by posting a hilarious photo on its Twitter account. The picture showed a burning candle with “Wild Card rule May 2019- October 2019” written on it. FOX tweeted the picture with the caption, “Tomorrow we say goodbye.” It looks like FOX wants to fully take down the controversial rule announced by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon earlier this year. WWE news: The Wild Card Rule

The wild card rule was officially introduced by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon in May 2019 in an episode of WWE Raw. According to reports, this rule was implemented to boost the ratings of both the Red and Blue band show. However, some superstars and fans showed their criticism of this bizarre rule. According to the rule, some wrestlers from a band can be allowed to go to the other band for a night. However, any unauthorised appearance from a wrestler can lead him to be fined and even suspended. The rule also states that the accused wrestler could also be fired by the WWE officials.

This rule was put into effect when WWE superstars Kofi Kingston, Roman Reigns, and Daniel Bryan entered the Red ring show for a night. In the start, only three wrestlers were allowed to enter another band show, but later the number was changed to four. However, there was some exception to this rule. At that time Becky Lynch was both RAW and SmackDown Women's Championship and she was allowed to play in both the red and Blue band show. She was also allowed to enter the NXT ring.
