WWE Bring Back A Banned Move As KO Hits A Piledriver On Randy Orton
After what transpired at the Crown Jewel PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Kevin Owens-Randy Orton rivalry reignited at the recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown when the Viper called out KO for his action during their match at the PLE. The brawl got a bit tense and Owens snapped as he went on to hit a maneuver which has been banned for a long time on live television. KO hit a piledriver on Randy, and he fell right onto the mat, unable to move. Owens looked on as the agents and officials kept him away from the 14-time world champion.
The Piledriver is a move which involves the wrestler grabbing their opponent, putting them in an upside-down position and then dropping them in a sitting position. It drives the other person’s head into the mat. But the move has been banned in the WWE for a long time as there have been moments in the past where the move has gone badly wrong. One instance was when Stone Cold Steve Austin broke his neck during his match with Owen Hart, who hit the move on him.

A brace was put on his neck to sell the injury. Fans in the arena, as well as the announcers, were in shock as Michel Cole yelled, "There’s a reason that damn move is banned."
