WWE SmackDown Results: MASSIVE Tag Match Ensues Chaos Ahead of Blue Brand’s Season Premiere

Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The latest episode of the Blue Brand featured all the build-up to the season premiere of the show, which will take place next week. The brand's top superstars like Solo Sikoa & the Bloodline, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, A-Town Down Under, Chelsea Green, Bayley, Nia Jax & more were featured on the show. • Bayley vs. Tiffany Stratton: Bayley wins by pinfall with the Roseplant.
• Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci: Apollo Crews wins by pinfall with a crucifix pin.
• Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller vs. Kevin Owens: Kevin Owens wins by pinfall with a Stunner on Austin Theory.
• Chelsea Green vs. “Michin” Mia Yim: Chelsea Green wins by pinfall with her Killswitch.
• #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) & Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) vs. the Bloodline (“Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, & Tonga Loa): The Bloodline win by pinfall with a pair of Samoan Spikes from Solo Sikoa on Montez Ford.

WWE SmackDown: Highlights of the Night

• Cody Rhodes opened the show as he spoke about his match against Kevin Owens at Bash In Berlin. He then spoke on Solo Sikoa as he had challenged the winner of the title match. Sikoa then enters with the Bloodline and asks for an answer from Cody regarding the challenge. Cody said that he is ready to take on the challenge, but not Sikoa. Instead, he challenged Jacob Fatu.
• After Jacob Fatu was called out by Cody Rhodes, he came forward and Sikoa looked conflicted. But Fatu assured that he loved Solo and stepped down. Sikoa accused Cody of trying to drive a wedge among the Bloodline. After Cody accepted the challenge, The Bloodline surrounded Rhodes, but #DIY and The Street Profits came out for the aid. GM Nick Aldis confirmed an 8-man Tag match and also assured a stipulation match for the Universal Heavyweight Championship. The match will take place inside a steel cage!
• Giovanni Vinci's singles debut in SmackDown lasted just seconds after Apollo Crews rolled him up in a crucifix pin and took the win.
• LA Knight arrived at the scene and took the mic to talk about his next challenger for the US title. Carmelo Hayes entered and called him a worthy challenger for picking wins against Andrade. El Idolo then enters and thinks he is the true contender. After some scuffle, Knight initially takes out Andrade with a BFT and then takes out Hayes with the same move.
