Konan's take on Drew McIntyre
When Drew McIntyre prevented Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes from winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship a second time earlier this year, he turned heel. Following this change, he briefly sided with The Judgment Day and engaged in a rivalry with the babyfaces, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Uso, and Cody Rhodes.
Drew McIntyre will be vying to win the World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins again on the January RAW episode of 2024. When a wrestling veteran Konan was questioned on Keepin It 100 if he open to make McIntyre the face of the red brand, he responded positively and complimented the superstar.
"They're going to do stuff with him [Drew McIntyre] I think he's very interesting. I did think that he looks super lame, corny, Mayor McCheese JoJo coming down with the sword named Angela. I know it's after his mom, but still... Just ditch the sword. I don't see nothing wrong with him wearing the kilt, he's a Scotsman. I think they're doing really interesting TV with him right now. So yeah, I do think he will be the focus in months to come."
