Business Caller ID: Apple has announced that it will a caller ID feature, called Business Caller ID, for business next year. When this feature rolls out, it will enable businesses display their names and logos on the call screens of the users whom they are trying to connect. This, in turn, will help users distinguish between legitimate businesses and spam callers.

"Next year, businesses will also be able to register for Business Caller ID. Their name, logo, and department appear on the inbound call screen when they contact customers, helping to distinguish verified businesses from spam callers and other unwanted outreach," Apple wrote in a blog post.

Apple 's upcoming Business Caller ID feature is a part of the company's Apple Business Connect program, and it follows the introduction of new features to the program. The company today announced that now every business, including the ones that are completely online, 'can register for Business Connect to create a visual brand identity' to connect with the customers.

For the unversed, Apple Business Connect is a platform that lets businesses create a consistent brand presence across Apple Maps, Wallet, Siri, and more with place card, logos, photos and customisable actions to name a few.

The company also announced that with the recent updates to the Apple Business Connect, businesses can display their brand in the Mail and Phone apps and customise their logo in Tap to Pay on iPhone.
While this feature is now available for businesses, it will begin appearing to customers later this year.

Additionally, updates to the platform will also let businesses display their logo, instead of their category icon, while accepting payments through Tap to Pay on iPhone. Apple says that this feature will help 'customers know that are making a payment to a verified business.

Apple says that any business owner, whether they operate online or offline, can use their existing Apple Account to register for Apple Business Connect at the self-service website. "Once a business has signed up, they can begin to customise their brand for free," the company added.
