Father gets a note from school as daughter got in trouble for opening Firefox instead of Google Chrome
Twitter user said his daughter got in trouble at school for using Mozilla’s Firefox web browser instead of Google Chrome. As crazy as it may sound, he even tweeted a picture of a note he says he was sent from his daughter’s school regarding the incident.
Have you ever heard of someone getting in trouble for choosing one web browser application over another? Recently, a Twitter user said his daughter got in trouble at school for using Mozilla’s Firefox web browser instead of Google Chrome. As crazy as it may sound, he even tweeted a picture of a note he says he was sent from his daughter’s school regarding the incident.
A Twitter user who goes by the handle @BamHanson started a thread by describing the experience his daughter had to go through at school. He also marked in his tweet Firefox’s official Twitter handle but not Chrome’s. Here’s what he had to say:
“My daughter got in trouble at school today for opening up @firefox on her laptop instead of Chrome. Seriously, I got a note sent home about it.”
However, it wasn’t clear from his tweet what kind of trouble his daughter went through exactly. @BamHanson also tweeted a picture of the note he says he was sent from his daughter’s school. He blocked out some personal information for privacy concerns, of course. But apparently, the teacher made BAM’s daughter write a note promising to use a “lifelong guideline/life skill” by not opening Firefox on her laptop ever again.
BAM further described that his daughter’s teacher doesn’t think that Firefox is safe for browsing. In spite of that, his daughter opened Firefox on her laptop getting herself in trouble.
Earlier this week, ExpressVPN compiled the list of web browser applications that are “best for protecting your security and privacy.” It ranked Mozilla Firefox and number 2 following Tor Browser whereas Google Chrome comes at number 6 position followed by Opera, Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
