Google Stadia lets you play games without a console, officially demoed

Google‘s Stadia gaming unit is finally unwrapped. Stadia has been announced during the ongoing Made by Google 2019 event. You could play without consoles.

Google‘s Stadia gaming unit is finally unwrapped. This comes after much speculation and anticipation. Stadia have been announced during the ongoing Made by Google 2019 event that has also witnessed the launch of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones, the Google Buds, and more. USP of Stadia is that it lets players play games anywhere, without a console. All that is required is an internet connection. Stadia would be launched completely on 19 November 2019.

As far as games are concerned, there would be the Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, Kine, Mortal Kombat 11, and more. For gamers having pre-ordered Stadia, games begin to unlock starting from November 19. There are two editions in Stadia. These are the Stadia Founder’s and Premiere Editions respectively. For those having pre-ordered/ordered Stadia, there would be a free 3 month trial period with access to Destiny 2: The Collection. Game’s performance would be in 4K resolution along with that of 5.1 surround sound. At this juncture, it is not known if Stadia would come to India. Titles could be played at 60 frames per second. Now, more than 30 games are supported in Google Stadia. Ordering cost is approximately Rs 10000 ($129). “Combine Chromecast Ultra with the exclusive Night Blue Stadia Controller to play in up to 4K on your TV, and also play games on Stadia across all supported devices in early access,” stated Google during the launch of the streaming service.

In related Made by Google news, the Pixel 4 is currently available for pre-ordering. This costs $799. Then, there is also the Pixel XL that is also up for pre-ordering with a price tag of $899. USP of these next-gen smartphones is the Night Sight Mode which enables users to grab a shot of the night sky.
