Jack Ma recently showed us the birthplace of Alibaba. This was just before he stepped down from the position of Executive Chairman at the popular e-commerce company. The video of Ma visiting the original headquarters –located in an apartment in Hangzhou China has now gone viral on social media. Remember that Ma bid an emotional yet Rockstar-like farewell to Alibaba on 10 September.
Trip down memory lane
Firstly, check out the video below. Alibaba was founded in a relatively small apartment in 1999. Exactly twenty years later, Alibaba has turned into an e-commerce giant. Even Twitterati have been taking a trip down memory lane along with Ma as a host of netizens remembered their meeting-interaction with the popular technology entrepreneur.

Jack Ma's visions
In the video above, Jack Ma states that even after 60 years or 80 years down the line, people should remember the apartment which gave rise to innovation. Jack Ma still keeps the apartment (called the Hangzhou apartment) and wants it to inspire startups. With Ma now having taken a bow from Alibaba – to focus on societal interests, it only becomes imminent to check out his popular life-quotes. His take on Artificial Intelligence (AI) is particularly interesting.
