Google on Thursday announced the partnership with Vodafone-Idea to set up Assistant-powered dedicated phone line in India. The announcement was made at the Google for India event in New Delhi. This way, Google aims to expand the accessibility of Assistant to non-smartphone users in the country. You can dial a number 0008009191000 from your Vodafone-Idea number and ask Assistant for live cricket score, breaking news, general knowledge questions and more. You need not stay connected to data to use Google Assistant phone line in India.

How to use Google Assistant phone line in India
Step 1: Ensure that you are Vodafone-Idea user (For now, the service is only available for Vodafone-Idea users)
Step 2: Dial the number 0008009191000 from your phone
Step 3: Google's Interactive Voice Response (IVR) will prompt you to select the language
Step 4: Either select English or continue with the Hindi. (Apparently, Hindi is the default language)
Step 5: Ask your questions to Google Assistant, which should respond with appropriate responses.
