PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) that has been both very popular and very unpopular ever since its launch, is naturally expected to witness a sequel - a probable PUBG 2, sometime in the future. Now, a “brain” behind the game has officially thrown light on whether expecting a PUBG  would be realistic.

As per a GamesIndustry report, which quotes PUBG’s own Brendan Greene, there could actually be another game instead of a PUBG 2 - following PUBG. Here, Greene stated that despite the battle royale concept being exciting, he would focus on creating another game which has no references to anything of the sort of PUBG 2.

At this point in time, it is worth noting that Greene is now with the Special Projects Division at PUBG and in Amsterdam; but continues association with PlayerUnknown. He also added, to GamesIndustry, that there could be newer mechanisms in the future as far as games are concerned about interacting better with people whilst understanding their pulse.

Hence, the above developments could virtually translate into a newer game type. You could share your insights on what you expect from PUBG in the near future, is it a PUBG 2 you are desiring, or a total overhaul of the current PUBG system to result into another game with comparatively lesser action? Do let us know.

In related PUBG updates, the game’s watered down PC version called PUBG Lite which is currently seeding as a beta is now applicable (and unlocking) to more regions of the world; thereby taking the total count of countries to more than ten. The newest regions, do not include India, but include the regions of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan - all technology/gaming hubs. With the game having reached the major gaming hubs, it should only be a matter of time before the title gets to Indian computers as well. India could potentially just be next on the list of PUBG.
