PUBG On PC In India: PUBG Lite Beta Could Potentially Seed Soon
PUBG Lite that introduces PUBG Mobile to PCs could hit India next going by the "Asian focus" of its publishers.
PUBG Lite beta, introducing the core PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) experience and gameplay to PCs, could hit India in the near future. This is considering the fact that the folks ae PUBG Mobile have undoubtedly been laying increased emphasis on the Asian regions, and with the game having acquired immense popularity among the Indian youth, it indeed makes sense for the gaming community in the country to start playing PUBG on PCs (low-end) as well.
PUBG Lite is now in a beta phase where gamers could check out important gameplay features and report feedback to the developers which would then ensure a potential rollout of the game to other regions of the world. Very recently, it was confirmed that PUBG Lite would unlock starting from February 13 to beta testers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore. Not too long ago, PUBG loyalists in Thailand were offered an opportunity to check out PUBG Lite beta.
Now, with an Asian focus - Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines clearly imminent, India could be next on this list. It also makes sense to seed the game to the country as PUBG has been taking gamers by storm and even courting controversies such as facing potential bans and recommendations by state governments to impose bans. However, popularity of the game is still intact going by recent survey statistics.
Also, with smartphone penetration (and shipments) consistent in India, there is naturally bound to be expectations, especially amongst the millennials to realistically resort to checking out PUBG Mobile by playing on a compatible device. As far as compatibility is concerned, PUBG Mobile can be played even on smartphones running comparatively older OSes such as Android 5.0; hence, this factor could be key for prospective gamers to take up PUBG. But, it is best that the game is played in moderation and without neglecting essential everyday duties.
In summary, the above aspects potentially stand as causes towards PUBG Lite (at least the beta) seeding in India at the earliest. In case you are an early adapter, it is worth remembering that PUBG Lite beta does not require fancy PC hardware to unlock/run. System requirements for playing PUBG Mobile beta can be checked out in detail, here.
