Online music streaming company said that it will now be offering complimentary access to Spotify's premium subscription-based without users having to pay anything. Earlier, the trial period was limited to one month. Starting today, interested members can subscribe to Spotify's premium music streaming service after available the service free of cost for not one or two but three months in total. In a nutshell, Spotify expanded its trial offer by adding two extra months, therefore providing new users with a free of cost premium service for three months. With this move, Spotify may be looking to compete with Apple Music that also offers 90-day complimentary access to its music streaming service. The offer has already gone live on the Spotify app and website in India.

Interested users can sign up for Spotify account and register for premium access free of cost. Do keep in mind the offer is limited for first-time subscribers only. Hence, if you have already been using Spotify premium service, you will not be allowed to avail the addition two-month free of cost access to Spotify Premium. Interestingly, Spotify is offering its 90-day complimentary access to Spotify Premium across all existing plans on its website. Whether you are signing up for student or individual plans, Spotify will still provide you with the three-month trial period.

Spotify's Alex Norstrom had this to say:

We know it takes time to fully experience all of the features available with Premium, so we’re giving people the time that they need to fall in love with Premium’s seamless listening experience and on-demand access to more than 50 million tracks, billions of playlists and 450,000 podcast titles for free,” 
said Alex Norström, Spotify Chief Premium Business Officer.

Spotify has certain benefits to offer to its premium subscribers. One of them is the ad-free experience. Spotify doesn't show ads to those members who have purchased one of the Spotify's premium subscription plan. What's more, Spotify also allows premium members to Download the songs on the go and access them offline. As part of the trial, new Spotify users will be able to avail all these benefits during the trial period.
