After Day 1 of the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO), the India Tigers and TeamIND teams who were playing the eSport tournament remotely after having their visas denied were placed at the tenth and eleventh rungs respectively. The team X-Quest was the leader of the rank with a total of 181 points post the first day’s preliminaries of the PMCO.
The Indian teams at the tenth and eleventh positions, viz India Tigers and TEAMIND secured 66 and 63 points individually. After Day 2 of the PMCO 2019 preliminaries takes place, the top 5 teams after all the matches there get to qualify for the PMCO 2019 finals in Berlin that takes place on 26 – 28 July.
At this point in time, there is another Indian representation called Team “SOUL” which directly qualified for the finals that takes places in Berlin on 26 July. Even this team has faced visa denials from German authorities, but there is seemingly a window for the players to try and apply again for the required approvals. Hence, all eyes are now on SOUL to keep Indian spirits high.
Finally, with the Visa status of Team SOUL to personally participate in the PMCO finals in Berlin on 26 July unclear, Twitterati is still making last-ditch attempts to try and persuade the Indian Minister of External Affairs to potentially offer possible assistance to SOUL. Netizens are desperate for SOUL to get visas to travel to Dublin and come out victors.
