"Instead, mentioning a group will automatically make the status update visible to all group members, regardless of the current privacy configurations," the report says.In addition to this, the group mention feature will reduce the number of direct messages to users as the entire group will be notified through a single message in the group.That said, at this moment it remains unclear if WhatsApp will put a cap on the number of groups that can be mentioned in a status update and the total number of members a group can have for this feature to work.
