As you can see, Microsoft has released a teaser that clearly reveals the Surface logo, apparently, in the shape of a processor. It hints at some new addition to the Surface line-up - with a different processor altogether. However, Microsoft hasn't revealed any concrete details yet. The Verge notes Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and chief product officer Panos Panay will likely attend this event. Nadella did not participate in last year's Surface event where Microsoft upgraded Surface Pro and Surface Laptop line-up. Last year, Microsoft also launched Surface Studio 2 and new Surface Headphones.

New Surface devices expected this year
This year, some new refreshes to Microsoft's existing Surface line-up are expected. It's being rumoured that Microsoft would announce three new additions: Surface laptop powered by AMD processor, a new Surface device powered by Qualcomm processor and a new Surface Pro featuring USB Type-C. Microsoft is expected to drop more hints about their upcoming Surface line, ahead of October 2. We can also expect some new improvements to Windows 10 to better adapt to the new Surface hardware being rumoured this time around. Microsoft will also likely announce a surface device featuring two screens.
According to The Verge report, Microsoft has been working on the hardware for the past two years. Microsoft is reportedly readying its foldable Surface device that is expected to launch towards the end of 2020
