Vodafone prepaid customers in certain circles can now check out a new Rs 389 tariff that offers unlimited voice calling along with 1.4 GB 4G/3G data per day. Here, it is worth noting that the Rs 389 plan is now seemingly live, and reflecting on the official Vodafone recharge online portal.

This prepaid scheme also takes unlimited roaming calls under its ambit, in addition to the unlimited calls (which by the way is practically limited to 250 minutes in a day) post which conventional tariffs would be applicable for users. The all-important “validity” of the plan is 69 days. As of now, the Vodafone Rs 369 prepaid tariff scheme is seemingly live for select circles including that of Mumbai, and Punjab. Hence, you could check out your MyVodafone app; and let us know if the scheme is available in your regions.

Here, it is also worth remembering that the above initiative does not come with free text messages; all conventional SMS messages would be chargeable as per actuals; and neither free nor unlimited. Vodafone also has a Rs 399 prepaid plan that offers 1.4 GB free 4G/3G data per day along with unlimited calls and free SMS messages for a period of 84 days. This is seemingly a PAN-India plan and should reflect across all telecom circles.

Now, the new Vodafone Rs 398 plan comes almost immediately after the incumbent telco announced its Rs 169 plan that offers 1GB 4G/3G data along with unlimited calls (250 minutes per day) and 100 free text messages for a period of 28 days. Roaming calls are also free under the scheme. At this juncture, it is worth noting that Reliance Jio is hugely expected by loyalists of the telco to offer special initiatives for the New Year and there could be lots to cheer about in case Jio does give in to loyalists demands in the form of launching New Year prepaid tariff schemes. Hence, the prepaid telecom service war in India could intensify even before the advent of 2019.
