Mukesh Ambani breaks down how data can make 'all inclusiveness' a reality and sooner than expected
Even experts believe that Digital is the new way forward, just like you. Here, elements such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data-driven models would be key. What do you think?
With next-gen technology making inroads into the Indian scheme of things, it only becomes imminent that technical elements viz the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data-driven models, and predictive intelligence are considered as the next-gen drivers of change as far as addressing key issues plaguing Indian society are concerned. With these being the criteria, even experts believe that Digital is the new way forward. What do you think?
Now, Mukesh Ambani who is Chairman at Reliance Jio believes that All Things Digital would be the new friend of democracy going forward as the technology revolution progresses. Ambani, during his keynote address at the Republic Summit 2018 also stated that with India having been an early adapter of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) concepts, the actual disruption would take place with data at the driver’s seat.
“This revolution will be driven by data and will be defined by humanism,” added Ambani.
“India is already generating significant quantum of data. I can say with confidence that India has a chance of not just participating in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, but also leading it,” he expressed.
Key motivation for creating and executing data-driven models for India
With technology-driven disruption being the key focal point, connected intelligence should act as the foundation stones for the models created by data scientists for solving problems. Also, with Indian minds now comparatively open to receiving/embracing new trends, it should not seemingly be a hindrance to lay the foundation stones for the next set of smart digital models (Driven by data) targeted exclusively at the societal sectors.
“With a world-class digital infrastructure in place, each one of the 1.3 billion people of India can now productively participate in the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” believes Mukesh Ambani.
Technology entrepreneurship at the peak is good news for data-driven models for India
Another aspect stressed on by Ambani was the entrepreneurial prospects and the entrepreneurial outcomes coming out from within India in recent times. Now, with the startup ecosystem having undeniably matured to a greater extent, it is not an exaggeration when there are a lot of international mentors, investors, and entrepreneurs desirous of investing, mentoring, and furthering research within India for the cause of the country’s potential progression (not vested interest types).
This is substantiated when we consider the sheer number of cross-border venture capitalists present in the country and mentoring (even incubating) Indian entrepreneurs to come out with smart societal models.
“Never before has India witnessed such an explosion of entrepreneurial spirit,” Ambani stated.
Smart integration is the icing on the cake
With data-driven models achieving greater and smarter connectivity, integration between various other smart models could also be accomplished relatively easily by data scientists. This means that the models would be a sum total of intelligence of a greater number of human minds, compared to that of current-gen physical (non data-driven) solutions; with integration achieved, we could even get to see the much hyped about “all inclusiveness” turning into a reality earlier than expected - technologically - not politically.
