OnePlus 8 Pro tipped to pack 120Hz display
OnePlus has already confirmed that all its upcoming phones will boast of a 90Hz refresh rate panel – at least.

The next OnePlus flagship, possibly the OnePlus 8 Pro, will feature a 120Hz display, according to tipster Max J. Come to think of it, that won’t be surprising. OnePlus has already confirmed that all its upcoming phones will boast of a 90Hz refresh rate panel – at least – and the company may bump it up to 120Hz to differentiate the ‘pro’ variant. To recall, the OnePlus 7 Pro launched earlier this year came with a 90Hz display but the vanilla OnePlus 7 didn’t.
But since OnePlus bumped things up with the OnePlus 7T launching it with a 90Hz panel, many potential buyers would be wary if something similar happens with the next generation also. What if OnePlus launches the OnePlus 8 Pro with 120Hz and OnePlus 8 with 90Hz, followed by a OnePlus 8T with a 120Hz panel? All of this is mere speculation of course, but because rumour mills have started to be abuzz with OnePlus 8 information, it won’t be long before more information starts to trickle in. Also, OnePlus is in the habit of dropping Easter eggs, so that’s that too.

OnePlus isn’t expected to launch the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 until next year, but a new set of renders doing the rounds of the internet, recently gave us an early look at the phones’ design. The OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 won’t look very different from each other, according to the renders. This will be a change from the recently launched OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro.
While the Oneplus 7T Pro looks exactly like the OnePlus 7 Pro before it, the OnePlus 7T has a tweaked design with a Nokia Lumia-like circular camera module on the back that sets it apart from any other OnePlus phone we’ve seen before.
The OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8, as per the renders, will have the same core design and OnePlus’ first punch-hole cut out on the front. That's right, while the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro come with a pop-up selfie camera setup, the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 will reportedly come with a Samsung Galaxy S10-like punch-hole display – which will be a first for any OnePlus phone.
Screen size will of course be different with the OnePlus 8 Pro said to get a larger 6.65-inch screen – this should be curved, although basis of the renders, it looks like both the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will boast of curved screens.
A key difference in design (and hardware) is that the OnePlus 8 Pro is said to come with quad rear cameras while the OnePlus will reportedly have three.
