Oppo spin-off brand Realme is gearing for a big launch event in India on November 20 where it will launch its most ambitious smartphone to date, aka the Realme X2 Pro. But the Realme X2 Pro won’t be alone. There are rumours that Realme may also launch its first fitness band at the same keynote and now it seems there may be another smartphone in the offing.

Online retail website Flipkart has been teasing the arrival of the Realme X2 Pro for some time now. The landing page, however, now also mentions another smartphone called the Realme 5s as coming soon to India. We’re not sure if this is a goof-up but the smartphone is surely real, as the Realme 5s has already been spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) certification websites with the model number RMX1925 hinting at an imminent launch.

Basis of the naming convention, the Realme 5s seems to be some sort of upgrade to the Realme 5 – which was launched in India not long ago. The landing page makes no mention of any specs. In fact, it’s surprising how and why it makes a mention on a landing page devoted to the Realme X2 Pro in the first place. Going by the nature of the company, Realme hasn’t dropped any hints regarding the Realme 5s either – at least not until now.

The Realme 5 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, quad rear cameras consisting of a 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It would be interesting to see what sort of update the Realme 5s brings to the table.

Be that as it may, the real star of the show at Realme’s November 20 India keynote event will be the Realme X2 Pro – a high-end flagship phone designed from ground up to take on the likes of the OnePlus 7T and the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. Realme was supposed to launch the Realme X2 Pro in India in December alongside the Realme XT 730G. Now that it is bringing the Realme X2 Pro to India early, it would be interesting to see if the Realme XT 730G also tags along.
