Realme seems to be prepping another budget offering likely to be called the Realme 5s. The Realme 5s has been spotted on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) certification websites with the model number RMX1925 hinting at an imminent launch. No further details are known at this point of time.
Basis of the naming convention, the Realme 5s seems to be some sort of upgrade to the Realme 5 – which was launched in India not long ago. The Realme 5 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ with a waterdrop-sty;e notch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, quad rear cameras consisting of a 12MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, 13MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It would be interesting to see what sort of update the Realme 5s would be in comparison.
Realme is gearing to launch its first ever flagship, aka Realme X2 Pro, in India on November 20. The Realme X2 Pro is Realme’s first high-end flagship phone designed from ground up to take on the likes of the OnePlus 7T and the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. While the Realme X2 Pro would be the star of the show, Realme could launch the Realme 5s entry-level phone alongside – but that’s just speculation at this point of time. Realme was supposed to launch the Realme X2 Pro in India in December alongside the Realme XT 730G. Now that it is bringing the Realme X2 Pro to India early, it would be interesting to see if the Realme XT 730G also tags along.
As for the Realme 5s, little is known about the phone in question apart from the model number and because Realme is yet to make any sort of announcement regarding it, we will have to wait and watch how things pan out for it in the days to come.
