It’s official. Realme will launch its first high-end flagship, aka Realme X2 Pro, on October 15. The company will be hosting simultaneous launch events in China and Madrid, which means we’re also getting some sort of global reveal here. The phone in question has already been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website, which suggests the Realme X2 Pro could land in India soon enough.
Realme has already confirmed marquee features of the Realme X2 Pro and alongside the launch date reveal, the company is now also sharing the phone’s first official render. Looks like the Realme X2 Pro is set to get an all-glass treatment like the Realme XT – as it should because it’s a high-end flagship after all. The phone will come in blue at least, and it will come with a centrally aligned quad camera setup on the back. We still don’t know what its front will look like but rumour has it that the Realme X2 Pro will have a waterdrop-style notch and an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Realme X2 Pro confirmed specs
Realme has already confirmed that the Realme X2 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and it will have a 90Hz display like the recently launched OnePlus 7T – it should be cheaper in comparsion though, and this is something Realme has also confirmed. Realme has also confirmed that the Realme X2 Pro will come with a 64MP quad rear camera setup with a dedicated telephoto camera for 20x zoom and support 50W fast charging. Lastly, the Realme X2 Pro will also come with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos out-of-the-box.
The way that the Realme X2 Pro is shaping, it looks like Realme is prepping a full-on flagship to take on the likes of the Redmi K20 Pro and OnePlus 7T.
The Realme X2 Pro seems to be a Pro version of the Realme X2 which was recently launched in China. The Realme X2 is essentially the Realme XT with a faster processor as well as faster charging. There’s also an upgraded 32MP selfie camera on the Realme X2. Realme is expected to launch the Realme X2 in India as the Realme XT 730G in December. It would be interesting to see when the Realme X2 Pro arrives in India.
