Samsung Galaxy M-series phone launch could be imminent, tipped to offer a 5,000mAh battery

South Korean electronics giant Samsung could be on the verge to introduce its upcoming, new Galaxy M-series smartphone. Reports have it that Samsung Galaxy M-series might replace the company’s existing Galaxy J, C and On series in order to streamline its line-up of affordable smartphones. More details are awaited.

Samsung is expected to announce two introductory offerings in the Galaxy M-series: Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20. In fact, the Galaxy M10 recently appeared on a benchmarking website Geekbench, dropping in key details about the handset. The handset has now received FCC certification.

As per Geekbench listing, Samsung Galaxy M10 (SM-M105F) is powered by an Exynos 7870 processor and 3GB of RAM. The Exynos 7870 is a budget chip at the best and it is often found on the affordable Samsung devices. It runs Android Oreo and packs 32 gigs of expandable storage. Samsung Galaxy M10 is likely to sport an LCD display.

SamMobile reports citing sources familiar with the development that Samsung Galaxy M lineup will initially be released in countries across the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Samsung is expected to focus on price-sensitive markets initially which seems ideal to establish a strong presence in the budget smartphones segment.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy M20 will pack a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood, suggests a new report. Unlike the Galaxy M10, the M20 is tipped to feature an Exynos 7885 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy M20 is expected to sport a 6-inch standard LCD IPS panel.

As for the shutterbugs, Samsung Galaxy M20 is rumoured to provide users with 13MP + 5MP dual rear camera. Up front is said to be an 8MP sensor. Samsung Galaxy M20 will reportedly be hitting the UK, Germany, France, Poland and Scandinavia.
