Smartphones with 10X optical zoom camera along with whopping 108MP snapper are now rumoured to come to the fore as early as in 2020. These technical aspects would also reportedly create newer trends in the consumer technology domain.  

At this point in time, renowned technology tipster going by the Twitter moniker of Ice Universe estimates that phones with 10X Optical Zoom and 108MP snapper would be a reality next year. The tipster also tweeted out an image of a smartphone that predominantly signifies a front camera. Check this image out below; remember that this is not a final image and could even be potentially conceptual: 

As of now, reports like the above have been surfacing increasingly of late; these are worth considering with a pinch of salt.  

Netizens are “split” 

In response to Ice Universe’s above tweet, Twitterati seemingly did not want a 108MP camera smartphone, other reactions include that of this 108MP handset being launched from a brand other than Samsung; there are expectations about an iPhone with this configuration as well. Finally, with 10X Hybrid Zoom being the focal point; the Oppo Reno is one such smartphone available in India. This smartphone is widely believed, by consumer technology analysts, to start-off the next-gen race where the subjects are 10X zoom camera handsets. Upon the beginning of this competition, pricing of such handsets could eventually turn competitive as well. As of now, price of the Oppo Reno is Rs 40000.
