Vodafone’s Rs 119 Unlimited Package Now Said To Be Seeding To Certain Prepaid Users

Incumbent telco Vodafone which seems to be on a roll of late with respect to rolling out customized recharge packages for prepaid users has now seemingly rolled out yet another Rs 119 scheme that offers free + unlimited voice calling and more to prepaid users. Now, all major telcos in India have rolled out packages, rather than packs, that come bundled with mostly semi-long/long validity along with offering at least 1GB of data and free unlimited voice calls.

The package offering by incumbent telcos has seemingly become a trend considering the fact that prepaid customers (of certain operators) are now required to resort to recharging for at least a minimal amount on a monthly basis to keep prepaid numbers active. In this regard, these long-validity schemes make sense considering the facts that the benefits are also seemingly effective considering usage and the latest trend which is to “stay connected at all times”.

Now, as far as Vodafone’s Rs 119 plan is concerned, TelecomTalk hints that this scheme could witness a phased rollout, as the recharge package is now said to be active only for selected 4G circles of Vodafone. Reported benefits of this offering include free + unlimited voice calls, along with 1GB data valid for 28 days. There is said to b no free text messages initiative under this pack.

When we checked both the official Vodafone recharge portal as well as MyVodafone app, the Rs 119 prepaid scheme was still yet to reflect which means that the rollout could indeed be phased. At this point in time, it is worth noting that Vodafone also has a Rs 169 plan valid for 28 days that is comparatively wider; offering benefits such as free + unlimited voice calls along with 1GB 3G/4G data valid for 28 days. However, this scheme does not compete with that of rival telcos.
