A new Rs 154 prepaid recharge plan has apparently been made live by Vodafone. The reported USP of this plan is that it comes with a validity of 180 days.
At this juncture, rumour mills are abuzz with the Rs 154 recharge plan offering validity extension. But we could not find the plan listed on the official Vodafone website at this juncture; however, rumours have been going on record stating that the scheme would offer as many as 600 local minutes of voice calling between 2300 hrs to 0600 hrs for free.
Also, the plan is rumoured to belong to the “non-unlimited” category which means that there would be no unlimited free voice calling along with data (amounting to as much as 1.6GB per day) being offered in packages.
As far as the reported Rs 154 prepaid recharge scheme is concerned, it is said to have a validity of 184 days; with the night voice calling (600 minutes) being offered over a 180-day period.
Hence, if you are a Vodafone prepaid subscriber, do check out the MyVodafone application and verify if the Rs 154 package is live.
In related Vodafone updates, the telco’s annual recharge scheme of Rs 1499 that offers free unlimited voice calling (250 minutes per day) along with 1GB LTE data per day; with as many as 100 free text messages and free roaming calls - valid for 365 days; is seemingly expanding to more circles. As of now, Vodafone’s Karnataka circle has received the Rs 1499 scheme and prepaid subscribers could check for the same (reflecting within the official Vodafone recharge portal).
The Vodafone Rs 1499 prepaid recharge scheme is seemingly an addition to the latest “annual recharge-package system” trends applicable to prepaid users. Almost all major telcos viz Reliance Jio, BSNL, Airtel have resorted to offering custom annual recharge plans for their prepaid subscribers. Would this lead to existing subscribers retention? Do share your thoughts and insights.
